Metro Kitchen - Fairfield

The food was mediocre and came out with a vast difference in timing so our party could not eat at the same time (small table of 4). The waitress was mostly absent, took forever to get order taken, had to ask for basic things like water. Check took a really long time too. Be prepared to wait and wait and wait. Underwhelmed by this place and the service.

Are we were happily surprised to learn that in Metro Kitchen is owned by the same restaurant group that owns Boca, which is one of our favorite restaurants. Metro kitchen did not disappoint. Don't let the number of empty tables for you, as that was almost a deterrent in my eyes. More people need to find out about this little gem.

Entree selections were mediocre. Appetizers and drinks were good. Service could use improvement. We were never offered replenishment of water or drinks. We had reservations and were expected to end our dinner early (less than an hour of being seated) to accommodate another larger party. Very disrespectful by server to ask us if we would be leaving soon when we were not finished eating and didn't have a chance to consider dessert, so that other party could have been accommodated. After we stated we were interested in dessert our server did not say one word to us afterwards. Not what we expected or received from other establishments in Fairfield.

Everything was good. Service seemed slow but they are probably under staffed. We didn't complain. Food was good. Atmosphere is lively on the bar side.
