C Salt Wine Grille - Falmouth

Just drove by and it is closed. No explanation on website (which says it is open). No info from calling. Thankfully I read similar reviews and did not bank on it. Sad. It used to be so good before the new owners.

We are 4 senior citizens who arrived on time for a 5:30 outside table reservation. There were no other inside reservations All the outside tables were available. The manager insisted that we had to sit at the table for four which was the only table in the sun, despite. there being four other tables for four in the shade. He would not budge, despite our being 75 years old with health issues. We therefore left. The manager then reported us to Open Table as No Shows. This is how this restaurant treats its customers.

Good, but not amazing. Food quality (taste, cook, and texture) we’re all top notch. Presentation left a lot to be desired. Wait staff was uncertain about some menu items (unable to describe dish) and the younger bus people were gruff and untrained. The day was suffocatingly hot and the indoor temperature matched (a/c didn’t keep up, plus having an exposed kitchen didn’t help). So while the food was very good, the extras didn’t match the menu prices.

We celebrated the 50th here this weekend. Anniversary of my parents. The food was exquisite. Everyone in our big group could not say enough great things about the meal. Service was also top-notch. I highly recommend it!
