Bidra med feedbackLocated just off Broadway near Broadway Square Park, BCAWH is a busy spot surrounded by small restaurants. Despite the simple menu, there are various options to choose from, including savory waffles like the Luauwaffle with pork or the signature waffle with Swiss and ham. I opted for the Apple Strudel Waffle with caramel sauce and whipped cream, which satisfied my sweet tooth. The relaxed atmosphere, basic decor, and local art add to the charm of the place. Prices are reasonable, and they even offer phone charging stations. While the menu is basic and service may not be super quick, I am a big fan of their waffles and coffee shop vibe.
I wish I had checked the reviews before visiting this restaurant. I was hoping to quickly enjoy a waffle and coffee, but unfortunately, the service was quite slow. I would rate it 3 out of 5 because the atmosphere was nice and the waffle was decent. They just need to improve their efficiency. We ended up paying $30 for two waffles and one coffee.
I adore the concept of this restaurant. My family has a general love for waffles and breakfast food. We decided to try Black Coffee and Waffle Bar based on a recommendation from my cousin, who claimed they had the best waffles he had ever eaten. Excited by this bold claim, we visited the restaurant. Upon arriving, we ordered at the cashier, received a number, and found our own seats. However, we noticed that the tables were dirty. I politely asked the cashier to have someone clean our table, but after waiting for 15 minutes, it remained dirty. We eventually went up to the cashier to place our order and once again requested our table be cleaned. The staff was pleasant and there were no issues with ordering, but the self-service water station lacked ice and the water was not cold. Disappointed by this, we cleaned our table ourselves after it was still dirty when our food arrived 30 minutes later. Despite the slow service, the waffles were delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal. When it was time to leave, we found it frustrating that customers were expected to clear their own tables. Although the food was good, the restaurant needs to improve their customer service.
I like the vibe of the whole place. The waffles are a good size, and the amount of toppings seem to be pretty good too. The only complaint I have is the amount of available flavors for a coffee shop seems to be pretty sparse. I would recommend foranyone looking to get some good food though, just you better not be a picky coffee drinker .
Beautiful cafe with friendly staff and good coffee and waffles. My wife got the Apple Strudel waffle, which had a warm, homey feel. I got the Strawberry Cheesecake, which was also very good. Mine did get a bit sweet by the end, but that's not surprisingfor a cheesecake theme. Both waffles had a generous amount of fruit, and were soft and fluffy. I had a plain latte, whichwasn't as sweet as one from Starbucks or Caribou, but was smooth and rich. My wife got a mocha with two added flavor shots. Shesaid it also wasn't as sweet but still tasted good. Service did seem just a little slow, but they were a bit busy, and it wasdefinitely worth the wait.
