Bidra med feedbackThere was a lot to tell. Despite the weekly phone calls with Opi Hartwig, there was a lot more to tell, especially when we sit at the breakfast table for five. So in Opi Hartwig's beautiful garden there was an extensive and long breakfast, so we would rather miss our usual lunch. But as soon as we were looking for lunch in Burg for our friends, the idea was to take a small coffee drink in the early afternoon. I spontaneously received the “Allee Café” in Katharinenhof. On many portals and social networks, the café is praised over everything, especially its wind bag. So the café for me as a wind bag lover was on my ToDo list for a long time, but so far we haven't done it. Allee Cafe Katharinenhof Unsre Klein explored the island with her boyfriend on his own, Opi Hartwig wanted to recover from the sudden surprise of the day before. So I went to Katharinenhof alone with my wife. The small village is located a few kilometers north of the island capital castle, and is very easy to reach by car as well as the bike. From the entrance you drive on a beautiful avenue lined by tall and old trees towards the centre of the village. On half of the avenue lies the café, the avenue gave him the appropriate name. An old peasant shrine was converted into a small but cozy café and is open daily from March to mid-November. We were looking for a place in the shaded outdoor area. This is very rustic and reminds of a beer garden rather than a café. There are plenty of guests on several folding tables and chairs. Almost all outdoor spaces are covered with large parasols. The interior of the café is very cozy and in any case a good place for bad weather. The “Allee Café” Katharinenhof is not only a classic café, but also bistro, so the menu, besides the famous wind bags and other sweets, also holds hearty dishes such as flame cake, pizza, soups and other small snacks. Menu Extract from the menu Extract from the menu We were greeted by a gentleman with a slightly Italian accent. However, it is not as charming as it is used by the southern countries, but rather in a rough tone. Since the menus were already on the tables, we had already found our dishes. So it should be as drinks: · 1x Latte Macchiato for 4,80 € · 1x large cappuccino for 5,00 € As sweets we ordered: · 1x homemade wind bag “Katharinenhof” with cream and fresh strawberries for 8,90 €, in addition with a shot egg liqueur for 1,00 € · 1x homemade egg pancake with applesa for 8,90 € Cappuccino as well as the Latte Macciato were made of a good screen carrier machine, and tasted really good and strong after coffee. Even the light/dark separation at the latte was almost successful. No more five minutes later were our desired catarrinenhofsweet dishes at the tasty table. big cappuccino and latte Macciato What was my eye saw. A wind bag, as big as the whole plate. I had never seen anything like that before, and the people out there on the Internet were really right. My God, what was that for a murder thing. DAS is a wind bag There was no lunch today. The large, according to the cafe itself baked wind bag was halved in the middle, and the inner filled with a solid, not too sweet whipped cream. Upstairs some fresh strawberries and a neat shot of egg liqueur. I'm not really the sweet slumber gourmet, but my eyes have to be lit. The Allee Café really has the biggest and best wind bag. Not only in Fehmarn, but also in Schleswig-Holstein. Homemade wind bag “Katharinenhof” with cream and fresh strawberries well filled with cream and strawberries Since my wife preferred light food today, her choice fell on homemade egg pancakes with applesauce. Now the gods can fight again, but with us in Saxony the thing is known as plenses, and is eaten with apple or butter with sugar as here. Since my wife holds things for us, she was here the expert or specialist. The pancake, or also plens, was sweet in taste, thin-heavy baked, on edge slightly crispy. Perfect. The apple cereal came out of the glass, but the apple season for fresh apple cereal has just begun. Homemade egg pancake with apple cereal Our conclusion: we left €29.60 in the avenue café. Yes they have the biggest! The biggest windbag I've ever seen. It is worth coming to Katharinenhof alone. Idyllically located, this is a cozy café. Those who do not bother themselves at the beer garden are also very relaxed outside and can listen to the outing of the leaves of the big trees, because wind is on Fehmarn, as is known, always. I'm sure we'll come back, there's still some wind bags to taste.
Very nice café with garden. You can sit inside and outside. There are delicious food from soup to cake and the huge wind bag. The apple strudel and the ice chocolate are great. There is a small playground for the small children. Parking for cars and bicycles are available.
During my visit the service was very nice, friendly and helpful. The cake was very delicious. Recommended the wind bag. Price-performance ratio was very good.
Optically, the wind bag may make appetite, when consumed comes only a dry firedough filled with automatic cream. The whole thing is completely overpriced for 9,90 euros. Once and never again.
It was just great. Everything was great together. Friendly staff and very good service. The wind bags were delicious.
