Bidra med feedbackAvoid--as I should have--because the food was horrendous. It had clearly been prepared long ago, and was tasteless. I ordered the pasticcio, which looked like it was warmed up from a store, and it was especially disappointing an experience because the low bar in Italy is usually so high. I felt crushed, honestly, by how poor the food was. The wait staff was nice.
We went there for dinner. Two couples. We ordered starters (primi) and mains (secondi). We checked twice our orders with the waiter and verified his understanding. Sounded OK. We also asked for local wine recommendation. The waiter agreed to come back with proposals shortly. He disepeared for ca 15-20 min. Finally my wife went to the cabinet with wines and selected the bottle. Waiter agreed and served wine and water. Wine service was also peculiar. He did not offer anyone to teste the wine. Just poured it to glasses. 20 min later food arrived. All mixed up. Starters together with main courses except one. Once we have finnished delivered meals one of us received her main cource. She could feel well when we were waiting. To ease the situation we selected another wine. We showed the bottle to (we guess) the owner of the place. He agreed to deliver the wine. 5 min later the waiter came to ask which wine we want! Finaly he delivered the bottle of selected read wine with glasses to white sparkling wine. When we asked him for proper glasses he said he dosen't have. There where 3 tables occupied in the restaurent. At leaset food was good.
Walking by Ferrara streets we saw there was a restaurant at 49,52 m circa. Less than 50 metres!! That was perfect for having lunch so we decided to find this restaurant. The ambient was very nice, the service very kind and quick, the food was very tasty. Also the price was adequate for what we got. Highly recommended!!
Original menu with local influences. You really should try the moussaka with rice and fish! But everything was of very good quality. Correct and charming service.
Interesting restaurant in the centre of Ferrara where you can enjoy traditional dishes, surrounded by original paintings and photographs made by the owner of the restaurant and cook. The menu offers typical dishes revisited in the perspective of involvement of traditional ingredients of the past. Friendly and friendly staff. Good value for money.
