I mentioned to the two women behind the counter that I wanted to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway and needed directions. Not only did they provide verbal instructions and tips, but they also took the time to write everything down for me. The customer service was outstanding, exemplifying true southern hospitality! I will definitely be returning to Gateway Cafe on my next visit.

This is a lovely restaurant! I tried the meat special on Wednesday, and it was cooked to perfection. The produce is also quite fresh and delicious.
