Cugini's - Fitzroy (VIC)

Amazing every time. It’s our Sunday lunch go to and never disappoints. Do yourself a favour and try it.

The pizza was delicious, the platter for two was generous in size, and the service was excellent.

We enjoyed our dinner at Cugini's. We started with the antipasto platter, which was such a generous serve that we didn't really need the other two courses. The pizza and pasta we ordered were also copious, so we decided we could not handle any dessert.

The quality of the pasta and pizza at this restaurant is excellent, comparable to the best places in Italy (I am Italian myself). The prices are reasonable, in line with Melbourne standards, and even more affordable with a discount from The Fork. The portion sizes are generous, with a pasta dish or pizza being filling enough for most appetites (unless you are extremely hungry). The restaurant has a rustic atmosphere, so don't expect a fancy fine dining experience, but this is evident from the website and overall vibe of the place. I would gladly return in the future!

Overall, good experience. The Lamb shank meat was tough, I would have expected the meat to fall off the bone. However, it was very good service.
