Esther's Eatery - Florence

I really enjoyed coming here! The food was amazing. Very unique and absolutely delivious. My only critique on the food is that it wasn't very hot. If it had been warmer, it would have been perfect. The portions aren't large, but my plate was just right to make me feel full, but not stuffed. The restaurant itself was clean and had a nice atmosphere.

Nice to see a spot with strong vegetarian/vegan options. I got one of their signature meals and a side of Mac and cheese. Delicious. My only critique is it would be nice to have real silverware for those who are eating in. I was surprised to see a large natural wine selection and lots of prepared foods for take homes. Many people came in for wine and comparing notes with the staff.

Should have trusted my gut and asked for a 3 veggie plate.I would like to see a 3 veggie plate on the menu for $9.95 or $10.50. The girls/ladies who work here treated me with such an attitude of disdain and contempt that it was actually quite hilarious. Like why be like that broI don’t know if that’s part of the hipstery vibe they’re going for, or if they’re just deeply filled with self hatred and projecting that outward onto others or what, but they made me feel like they hated my very existence for no apparent reason, which is a strange attitude to have if you’re working in customer service.Regardless, I’m willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. I tried to be nice and deflect the intense negativity I felt coming from them, but it was tough.Besides that, the overall vibe and aesthetic was incredibly charming and the food was pretty good with lots of healthy options.Five stars for leaving me in a lingering state of befuddlement over such bizarre treatment
