Good Fortune - FLUSHING

Dim sums were a bit greasy there. Service was okay but not great. It could be because they automatically added the tips to your bill. That might be the reason the waiters and waitresses were no longer need to work hard for their tips.

Recommended by a friend and we came here for dimsum on a Saturday noon. The place is huge and very spacious for the moving carts and for people walking. They have side table displaying their hot food and some desserts. I love the mushrooms dish because I love mushrooms in general. The veggies are also good, they cooked the veggies in front of you while waiting. The food is fresh and so good. They do have so many varieties of food in the carts as well as on the side table. Will most likely go back again to try other foods.

As usual Good Fortune is amazing! We were there just after the lunch time crowd and service was quick. The food, mainly dimsum was fresh. We also had desert, the egg tart, delicious. You can also order take out if u like. There is a separate area for crispy skin pork and roast duck etc. There is valet parking or if you are lucky you can find parking on the street. After or before eating you can visit the Asian supermarket just next door.

I used to love this place when I visited friends around the area. For this time, I had ordered an assortment of dim sum to go (no indoor dining yet) and two sam po fan for dinner to go. Regarding the dim sum, it was average. Personally, I found the rice rolls could be smoother and the spring rolls to be crisper. But considering the lack of traffic and ease of access for people avoiding downtown Flushing, this will do. The dinner, sam po fan, which is three types of meat with sautéed cabbage over rice is amazing. I had their cha siu (roast pork, distinctly red in color), siu yuk (roasted pork yes, there is a difference, a whole roasted hog, and soy sauce chicken. The portion was huge too. It 's enough for dinner and lunch the next day. They also had a buffet style area for people to point to what they would like to add to a lunchbox with rice inside. You can add up to four options in a box. Those smelled great but wasn 't on my list that day.

We celebrated my father's birthday here and typically ordered fish dishes. Everything was absolutely delicious, and we all left with full stomachs.
