Steep Street Coffee House - Folkestone

Good black Americano and vegan raspberry croissant takeaway, brought out on a tray!

First things first, a vegan in Folkestone has to go and get some chocolates from Steep Street. You can buy lovely little boxes of them, and when the shop at the side is open pick your own. Yum! Steep Street itself is mainly famous for its glorious cakes and luckily their vegan options keep getting better. I remember my disappointment when they would only ever have healthyish bliss balls and flapjacks instead of the delicious sugary towering sponges I enjoyed as a vegetarian. They did progress to some nice banana loaves etc though, and last time I was in they had a raspberry and white chocolate vegan sponge and it was delicious. Luckily for my waistline they're usually closing up when I walk past on my way home...! Definitely a great one to pop into on your way down the Old High Street to the harbour.

Am a regular here purely for the vegan cakes and general yummines! Would 100% recommend

My family and I recently met up at a charming café that offered a variety of alternative milk options. The atmosphere was wonderful, with walls adorned with shelves filled with books. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned the following day for some coffee and cake, which were both delicious and served in generous portions. I would highly recommend this place.
