Awa Miami - Fontainebleau

**Ambiance (3.5/5):** The restaurant's website is somewhat misleading, especially for those new to the area. Awa is situated inside an outdoor food hall, and it doesn't offer the typical indoor and outdoor seating options. Instead, only outdoor seating is available, providing a city view as the sole ambiance. Additionally, the restroom facilities are a porta potty, which was disappointing since I was hoping for a nice, intimate fine dining experience. **Service (4/5):** The service was quite slow, and it seemed like there was only one server on duty that night. I understand that restaurants are facing challenges currently, so I’ll rate them a four. Our server was friendly and made an effort to engage in conversation, which we appreciated. I had noted in our reservation that it was my boyfriend's birthday, but there was no recognition of this occasion, even though the owner mentioned on Yelp that they offer complimentary desserts for birthdays. **Food (3/5):** The food was average at best. Unfortunately, the ratio of rice to fish in our order was off—way too much rice! We tried the Chef's Sushi Selection ($95), but the quality did not match the high price. We were also let down by how basic the rolls were considering the cost. As noted earlier, this isn’t a conventional fine dining venue, and the absence of an open kitchen left us wondering about the food preparation process. I would not recommend Awa for celebrating special occasions.

I visited this restaurant for my anniversary, and it definitely exceeded my expectations! The location is fantastic, and the food was incredible. The yaki beef noodles were exceptional, featuring incredibly tender beef and a delightful sauce. The Brussels sprouts were equally impressive, bursting with flavor. I would absolutely recommend this place!

This restaurant is fantastic! The food was incredible, with the Brussels sprouts and chocolate molten lava cake standing out as favorites, though everything else was delicious as well. The service was prompt and outstanding; they even accommodated our request to switch tables and turned off a fan when we mentioned it was a bit chilly that day. The views of the water are stunning, and the atmosphere is great. This place definitely deserves five stars, and we will definitely be back!

The food was great. The place is very nice next to the river. Need better drinks and desserts on their menu.

This spot is right on the Miami River. You get to people watch, boat watch, drink like we did, or eat. So relaxing!!
