Bidra med feedbackNoonane is a restaurant tucked away in Turton St specializes in Korean soup and hotpots. We were there for weekday lunch and ordered spicy beef soup and beef short rib soup. A quick view around, you will realize the simple decorated establishment shows all menu boards in Korean which adds a level of authenticity to this restaurant. The appetisers arrived first, containing: picked white radish, kimchi and raw onion & green chilli with Korean miso paste. The homemade white radish and kimchi was sweet, juicy and crunchy with only hints of spiciness. The onion and green chilli dipped with miso was strong and flavourful. This is not to everyone's palate but complements soup dishes to perfection. There is only a handful of Korean restaurants that serve truly authentic side dishes, Noonane is one of them. 4/5 The still simmering spicy beef soup was next with cuts of braised beef, bean sprouts and spring onions in a red chilli broth. The soup has a depth of flavour consists of beef, ginseng, onion & hints of seafood. The meat was tender and flavourful (non of that poor quality hotpot thin beef you see in most Korean restaurants) and complements the soup nicely. Paired with a bowl of steamed rice, one was taken to comfort food territory. By far the best spicy beef soup I have ever had in Brisbane. 4.5/5 The beef short rib soup was the last dish of the meal. The big bowl of goodies served in a heated stone bowl contains chunks of short ribs, white radish, shredded egg, Korean glass noodle and spring onions to garnish. The short ribs was falling off the bone tender with big beefy taste. The soup was chicken stock based with mild flavours and hints of ginseng. It is the kinda soup for the ones after healing effects. 3.5/5 Overall service was friendly and efficient. Side dishes was refilled without hassle and kids cutlery was provided without asking. 4/5 Hint: They offer a number of Korean soups aimed for hangover recovery. Just ask ????

I heard that this place is the 'place to go' for korean soup. Noonane specialises in korean soups and hot pots so you wont find many other choices except some other rice dishes and a couple sides. My partner and i ordered the korean style pork soup and korean style spicy pork sausage soup. All soups come with a bowl of rice and the usual kimchi, chopped onions and chilli as sides and some other condiments. I personally enjoyed the spicy soup more because i like spicy dishes but they were both tasty and served piping hot in a grill bowl. Ive also tried a bit of beef bone soup and it was really good !! Next time im going to come back for ox tail soup (one of my favourites, dont let the name put you off) and potato (?) soup. I also recommend trying your food with korean makgeolli (carbonated rice wine)! Interior is clean, employees are helpful. A great experience all up! A good place to go especially if youre feeling under the weather and need some warming food ! EDIT: Highly recommend the spicy beef soup with korean vegetables ! (소고기 우거지 해장국)

This place is open between the quiet times of the afternoon! I gave this place a go and found the service to be good for the Sunnybank region. The owner was nice which made the food taste that much better. I came here one night and I was surprised how packed it was - that usually means something. Good luck!
