Applebee's Grill - Fort Gratiot

Used to eat here a lot. Not quite as much as I used to. Nothing's changed, just chose to go other places at this point. The staff is always friendly. The food's always on point. It's generally pretty consistent between all the Applebee's.

The service was fine, but the food tasted cheap as hell, I've had better burgers at culvers

The biggest problem was the meal we ordered the brand new crispy chicken sandwich with fries. Little to no sauce on the bun chicken was very dry with burnt edges and had a most peculiar aftertaste. I don’t know what sauce they gave us, but that was by no means any ranch that I’ve ever had. We chose the fries that were to come with the meal. They were barely room temperature very salty. I asked could we get extra ranch dressing and she brought us whatever sauce they’re calling ranch which is not. However, well my complaint is not with the server, but with the kitchen, I don’t know why it took so long to get extra dressing for the sandwich when I mentioned it to the server I’ll get the manager. I’ll get the manager. No there’s no need. I’m not looking for something for nothing. I wanna tell you what came out of the kitchen so that you can share it with somebody who can deal with what comes out of the kitchen. so that we never saw a manager, which was fine by me they did reduce the bill which I think was appropriate given the circumstances. But in all honesty, I would have much rather had a better meal with hot fries not so much salt and a sandwich with some proper ranch dressing that was a little more than a little tiny on the top of the bun . Never did figure out what they coated the bun with put the lettuce on unpleasant aftertaste. As an FYI, I do walk with a limp and I was quite taking it back when the hostess seated us in the furthest seat from the front door where you come in. I would not recommend anything on their menu. If my food today was a sample of what you serve.
