Bidra med feedbackI only managed to eat a small portion and had to leave the rest untouched. I ordered fried rice and egg foo young, and both dishes were extremely unappetizing.
I hate to be a re-reviewer. But I've got a correction to make. While their lo mein, vegetable dishes, and general Tso chicken is the best around... literally everything else I've had is sadly not very good. The wonton soup is pretty unpleasant. The egg drop soup tastes off, like artificial. Idk. The sweet and sour chicken is huge but way too greasy. The eggroll was also too greasy, and the inside seemed to be made with old ingredients. The crab Rangoon, although made with fake crab, tasted fishy and was yet again too greasy. I know I know. Chinese food can be greasy. But this was like deep fried snack food at a fair greasy. I got the pupu platter and didn't like anything except the teriyaki chicken. I'm keeping 3 stars for the lo mein, general Tso, and vegetable dishes. Everything else would get a 2 at best... and that's being lenient since I couldn't eat it.
Very good Chinese restaurant. Friendly staff. Take out only.
At China Garden, it's best to steer clear of the bustling, flower-filled spot next door. The staff there have a tendency to be unfriendly towards newcomers, and although they may say it with a smile, their disdain for "outsiders" is evident.
The staff at this restaurant does not uphold our Bill of Rights, particularly the First Amendment. I would recommend dining elsewhere, as their food is as disappointing as their attitude.
