Bidra med feedbackA hidden gem owned by a family, The Ambry has been delighting patrons with authentic German cuisine and drinks in East Ft. Lauderdale for over 40 years. I can't express enough how wonderful this place is—stepping inside feels like being in a pub in Munich. The menu takes me back to my visit to Germany, and the food tastes just as incredible. Their early bird special, which includes soup (definitely try the French onion), a salad featuring fresh German potato salad and coleslaw, plus dessert for just $23, is one of the best deals in town. I usually go for the paprika schnitzel with spaetzle, as it's always cooked to perfection and topped with a delicious sauce. However, their prime rib is legendary, and I would stack it up against any other restaurant in town, including Morton’s and Blue Moon. They also offer a unique, rotating selection of seasonal beers from Germany, and the service is always excellent. I give The Ambry a perfect 5 out of 5 stars.
I liked eating at Ambrys! The restaurant itself is somewhat small but very clean, easy to move around in and had a neat good mellow German atmosphere to it! The service was great, Swift kind chatty waitresses served me and were nice to talk to. For dinner I had some beef stew, Beef Tartar and some schnitzel as pictured below! The stew was great and scrumptious especially with the bread that came with it. The schnitzel was also very good crispy and the sauce was wonderful to! So about the tartar...it wasn't that it wasn't made good but it was my first time trying it and I sadly could not stomach it,if you think you can though go for it! Overall, aside from discovering I didn't like steak tartar, everything about ambry is great and I'd highly recommend it for people in the mood for good German food!
I love the ambience of this German restaurant. I love how they have different areas / spaces to eat. We were pretty loud, but with a rather private space it really made it easy to still hear and not the feeling we were a disturbance for all others. The food was fantastic and the drinks were great. Our waiting staff was really personal and helped make our time even more perfect here. The details in the decor are absolutely fabulous. Seeing so much about this restaurant. I highly recommend it!
An inconceivable, family-run jewel that has been serving authentic German food and beverages in East Ft. Lauderdale for over 40 years. I can't say enough good things about the ambry step inside and it's like being transported in a pub in Munich. Your menu looks like I saw when I visited Germany and food tastes just as good. Your early bird comes with soup (go with the French onion), salad containing fresh German potato salad and Slav plus dessert for $23, is one of the best offers in the city. I choose the Paprika Schnitzel and Spaetzle, because it is always perfectly cooked and crushed in a delicious sauce, but its original rib is also legendary and I would put it up against any other restaurant in the city like Mortons or Blue Moon. You also have a unique seasonal selection of beers from home and service never disappointed. 5/5 stars for The Ambry.
Absolutely amazing food. I got the carving Milano and I was in love. I can't wait to come back and try everything else
