Matchbox - Fort Lauderdale

Before I buy a little, I stayed in Matchbox for a happy hour. The experience was not as pleasant as expected. I expected to get faster services by sitting at the bar and the result was not a service. The experience made a turn in the right direction after expressing my concern about the lack of service for the manager. We were taken to another section and the service was excellent. The food was well prepared and the drinks were refreshing, unfortunately I discovered a fruit fly in my drink. All in all, I'll try.

Very nice restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. I strongly recommend a reservation because they can get busy very fast, which is usually a good sign. I went for brunch but didn?t actually get brunch. Of course they have mimosas on the brunch menu. They have really good appetizers so I got the artichoke dip and the mini burger sliders. No regrets there as they were full of flavor. Also got there Margarita Pizza, which was perfect. It was not too oily and the cheese was flavorful. Not too bitter nor tart. They have lots of options so I?ll definitely be back to experiment with the menu.

I didn?t know what to expect coming to eat at this Huge Establishment. Upstairs down stairs. Huge outdoor seating! That tells me the Kitchen is huge too. Sometimes passion and drive can get lost in a huge restaurant serving many people. NOT Match box! Those Pancakes ?are TOP TEN in south Florida. Crispy light and perfect Hot Syrup and butter to match. The Spinach Dip was awesome. TREAT YO SELF! Poetic Approved.

It?s the holiday season! And our company decided to treat us for a Christmas dinner here at Matchbox. We made reservations over the phone for a party of 16 and they were extremely accommodating and made sure we were taken care of immediately. Upon arrival the staff was very friendly and they had prepared our table in a private area out back. Upon sitting down the team had a great time chatting back and forth as 2 waiters seamlessly took our orders in between and brought out every dish exceptionally. I ended up ordering the sliders with onion strings to share and it was absolutely delicious. The mini burger were packed with flavor and the shoe string onion was the perfect addition and honestly needs to be in every burger I order moving forward lol The only small issue we had was one of the drinks we ordered came with a fly inside, but that immediately got corrected as soon as we alerted our waiter. Overall we had a great time and everything else we ordered was good and came out in a timely manner. Will definitely try it out again with the fam. The Fashionable Foodie

1st time visiting Matchbox. Ambience was nice, food was good. Our server was nice, but she missed a couple of this. Our food took a little while but was overall good. We had the Bistro Burger, the fried chicken sandwich, lg cheese pizza and the waffle with chocolate chips for dessert. Main course food was a bit overpriced in my opinion and several of the food items were Market Prized. Wouldn't mind visiting again in the future. And the prosecco was nice ?!
