Il Pomodoro Italian - Fort Myers

If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. We often vacation in Fort Myers and have visited this restaurant multiple times. The service has consistently been poor to unfriendly, but we previously overlooked it because the veal was decent. Not anymore. My wife and I arrived at 6 PM, and there were only three tables occupied. The host attempted to seat us at a small table crammed into a corner with flimsy folding chairs. When I pointed out that this setup wasn’t suitable, he told us that was all they had because they were "busy." The restaurant was practically empty! The food is just average, and the service is perpetually mediocre. I can't believe it took me so long to warn everyone to steer clear of this place!

As a family, we first visited Il Pomodoro to celebrate a birthday, and we were truly impressed by the outstanding service provided by our server, Mary, and the manager, Randy. The food was incredible, and I will definitely return to try more of the delicious dishes on the menu. Thank you, Mary and Randy!

During this visit, we skipped any goodbyes to our old choices! The garlic rolls were fantastic, and the mussels appetizer was massive, perfect for sharing among the three of us. Our meals were all delicious! We even enjoyed them again the following Sunday! The mussels, grouper, and shrimp in lemon butter sauce were incredible! You really can’t miss out on this place! It’s family-owned and operated, which makes it even more special to support the little guy. It’s a must-visit if you're in Cape Coral, even if it requires a bit of a drive.

Absolutely amazing! my family and I were here to eat. they don't wait. super friendly staff and great eating. I have the Rigatoni-Bolognese that was incredible! everyone on my table loved eating!

It was really surprising. I had ordered a sausage sandwich and expected the standard rate. Sausage and mushroom a few paprika on a hoagie roll. I didn't. it was a rather generous part that I had to end up taking half of it home. I really like the atmosphere it's not a huge dining room, so it's intimate that I can't wait to go back with the woman. update 8/25/2022 wife and I had just dinner and it was a wonderful experience. everything from the drinks to the desert was beyond our expectations. the wife was above the moon over alfredo and the tiramisu. this was the perfect place for a night dinner. update 11/23/2022 another wonderful meal. love that I can take off my wife, it is a perfect place for a cozy evening.
