Snowshoe Inn Cafe and Craft Shop is a quite interesting location. You can buy some local crafts on the left side of the building. There is a small restaurant offering simple fast food for reasonable prices on the right side of the building. Customer service is polite and quick. You should certainly stop here when visiting Fort Providence.

Amazing Buffalo Burgers! We didn't see any Bisons in town. How we didn't eat the last one!

For a small restaurant off the beaten path , they have amazing pizza. If you 're in Fort Providence for the day, order one, but order early. Snowshoe burger is really great too. If you 're here for breakfast, make sure you try the coffee. The Costa Rican Coffee is amazing. Worth the trip.

Good place to drop in to eat, short drive off the High Level Yellowknife highway. We stopped for an early lunch on the way to High Level. Only the breakfast menu was shown, so I ordered a roll with eggs. The food was filling and good. While waiting for the food, you can walk around and read the informative posters on the walls. We also went into the craft shop which has a wide array of collectibles/gifts like tees, cups, indigenous art, ornaments etc. Ample parking, located right beside the river so you can go for a walk after the meal
