Mastaro Sushi - Fort St. John

They are the best Japanese restaurant in town. Yakisoba 8/10 our last order had bigger serving than the 1st one Charsu ramen 10/10 Grande Prairie combo 9/10

Mastero has taken back the throne as best sushi in FSJ. Their sashimi platter is world class! I bring friends and colleagues to Mastero and they are never disappointed

Place is pretty big inside. I ordered the katsudon, 10/10. I really enjoyed it. Soooo good!

Mastaro is probably has my vote for the best sushi in Fort St. John. The rolls are made fresh, they are not cold and hard. The ingredients and fish are fresh. I like their nigiri. The wasabi is in the middle of the nigiri between the rice and fish as it should have. Some places in FSJ do not put wasabi with their nigiri...maybe because the folks here don 't prefer it. But I prefer it. The server who took my order (male, young, no accent) Messed up and wrote hotakegai on the itemized receipt. Which is NOT WHAT I GOT. I asked for scallop but I got surf clam (Hokkigai) instead. The rice and rolls fall apart easily and are not well packed together. But still that isn 't a big deal given the quality of the rolls compared to other sushi places IN TOWN. Well seasoned. Good chef and family owned restaurant. Great job overall.

This place gave me food poisoning. It was the yaki soba that gave it to me and my 2 friends that were with me. Stay away from this place.
