Summit City Brewerks - Fort Wayne

It's great to have a late-night option like this! The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, similar to Mad Anthony's on Taylor. I tried the hot chips, and they were a bit on the salty side.

I ordered the provolone and bacon hot dog, and it was absolutely delicious! The only thing I would change is that it was served on a wheat bun, which I'm not particularly fond of. However, the pinball and shuffleboard games were the perfect finishing touch.

The main problem we encountered was the service. There was about a 15-minute wait every time the server came to our table. At one point, we couldn't even place an order for food. After sitting there for an hour without being able to order our entrees, we became frustrated and left. To make matters worse, when we settled the bill, we were overcharged as if we had ordered entrees. The server attempted to convince me that two drinks and an appetizer totaled almost $40, which was clearly incorrect. Thankfully, the bar manager was very polite and understanding; he encouraged us to give the place another try in the future. We're willing to reconsider it when we’re out of our 20s, as we suspect the poor service was partly due to our age—perhaps they assume younger patrons can’t afford a $35 meal, despite the fact that Applebee’s is even pricier. Overall, I’d give this place 3 stars, which I think is generous considering our disappointing experience. The management seems to be the strong point here, but the servers definitely need more experience.

This is the spot. Great atmosphere, enjoyable staff, and great beer! Also have good to-go options which keeps us coming back!

A very cool location. I love a repurposed building, especially a brick one (no idea why). I really love the fact that nearly all craft brewery beer tenders are really cool people. Some of my best conversations ever have been with the person pulling the tap or the other people enjoying the local malt hops. At the risk of offending someone, I honestly think craft beer people are a step above. Smarter, more thoughtful, more open-minded than the general population and yes, I am one (Hate me if you must). This is one of my go-to breweries in this town when I come visiting. It's so chill, the beer is great, and the quantity of offerings is huge. Plus, they have food.
