Bidra med feedbackOur friends had recommended Waters. We weren't disappointed anyway. Our server, Val, was pleasant, courteous, knowledgeable and very helpful. The Dirty Dozen? of fresh, chilled oysters on the half shell were excellent. The Red Fish, Crabs, Swordfish (especially) were all excellent. Like the gumbo and freshly grilled asparagus. We would highly recommend water. I was raised at the eastern end of Long Island and really appreciate fresh, well prepared seafood.
Went for a happy hour, outside. the food was good, the service was good. the employees were not busy with customers who talk to each other most of the time. it has not influenced any experience, but was not a wow factor. must move garbage dumps away from the bar. It smells. Drinks were great. Nice place for tourists
Food was so fresh, we had oysters and shrimp cocktail. Terrace bar staff was amazingly friendly and thoughtful. We went in without reservation. It didn't change how they treated us. We sat in the patio bar as the manager asked if we would stay for drinks or food. He offered us a table, but it had a reservation one hour later. So we chose the bar. Not disappointed. They changed the TV to the NFL draft for my wife and I. They also reminded us that we had time to try the Amazing Happy Hour menu. Price/performance
This was our first time here and we had high expectations. When we arrived for our 5:45 reservations, we quickly realized that the restaurant was too cold for a pleasant meal. We decided to sit on the terrace, whose ambience was more questionable. Our concerns were quickly brought to rest while we started ordering (oysters, followed by a salad and a duck). The food was amazing. Definitely prepared with quality in mind My wife Scallops took the price. Anyway, we would definitely return and the temperature in the lobby was better than we were back through them.
My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner. This was our second time here, and it was still as fabulous as I remembered. We chose to sit outside this time, and it was an amazing atmosphere at night; not too hot or cold. The tables are spread far enough apart for an intimate setting. The service was its usual high standard; no surprises there. However, as always, it's about the food, delicious. We started with the Calamari. It was perfectly seasoned and actually crisp without being overcooked. I also started with the Tomato and Fried Goat Cheese Salad. Wife didn't feel courageous, but I liked it. The cheese did have a bit of a gamey taste, but the roasted red pepper vinaigrette balanced it nicely. For the mains, my wife had the Crab Cakes, and they didn't disappoint. They were a decent size with plenty of juicy crab. The cakes were firm and not mushy. She paired it with the Crispy Fries. I loooove fries, you've got to try these. First off, they came out streaming. True fry lovers will get that. Secondly, they didn't need salt or pepper. Whoever the chef was, knew what they were doing; crunchy exterior but soft interior. Two tumbs up. I had the Blackened Scallops. They were seared to a perfect medium. The seasoning wasn't overpowering, but just enough heat not to ruin tasting the actual Scallops. I paired my dish with the old fashioned Haricots Verts. For dessert, we tapped off the night with the Brownie a la mode. It was really good without causing toothaches. It is a fine dining restaurant, but feel free to relax in jeans and a Tshirt. Give this place a try. You won't regret it.
