Bistro du Coin.... Du Bout de la Rue.... Du Bout de la Place

Good Egg is a nice restaurant for the whole familyThey have home made mealsThe service was great and the food took only a few minutes to be ready.

Visited based on Lonely Planet recommendation but I cant say I was impressed. I had the French onion soup and steak tarte, and both were ok. My friend's mussels were excellent. The big disappointment was the 'poached pear icecream' I received a big...cup of icecream with pieces of poached pear a ton of cream and sprinkles! Basically a monstrosity. Service was hit and miss both in efficiency and friendliness

We eat here regularly and the food never disappoints. It is wholesome, hearty French food that's always fresh and tasty. It isn't a huge menu, but it changes regularly and in any case offers something for most tastes with fish dishes, several meat dishes, various...salads and often soups in winter. The service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is great a big chimney that is lit in the colder months, gorgeous stone walls, pleasant décor. Not stiff upper lip fancy, just really nice and easy. One of my favorite places

We have had meals at the Bistro du Coin over the past years but this year it was brilliant. The owners now keep some excellent beers to go with the food. I enjoyed the rump steak twice in a week and my wife had...the scallops and the lamb which were very well cooked and presented. Enjoyed the friendly company, hosts, food and drinks. Will return

A wet Sunday lunchtime in July and we dived in here to a) get out of the rain and b) because they had a table, unlike the first place we tried. What luck! A small bistro and bar which was packed, but we had a...good welcome a were shown to our table. There is no menu, but blackboards everywhere with current offerings on. I chose the salade campagnard and my partner opted for the moules frites. Even though there was not a spare seat in the place, our order was taken quickly and, surprisingly, or food was served within minutes. This was probably the best salad I have ever been served anywhere, with bacon and potato freshly cooked and still warm and the rest of the salad hard-boiled eggs, fried croutons, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, ham, tomato, red pepper and beansprouts was as fresh as could be. My partner's moules were amongst the best she had ever had as well. There was a good wine list as well, but we opted for a local cider and a draught beer, of which there were four on offer. This was not fine dining, which is why I nearly only awarded four stars, but, for what it was, a small bistro in a small French town, the food, service and atmosphere far exceeded what we had expected and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, wholesome meal in comfortable but basic surroundings
