Trendy place... for kids more than foodies. Dropped in after Christmas Market. Frohsein had set up their own private Christmas Market in the Hof which I found cheesy. Place was packed. Service slow. Wine list was interesting with a good selection by the glass.. prices appropriate to Frankfurt. A Chorizo and Dates app was OK, nothing special. Mixed salad w greek cheese OK. Pumpkin risotto was horrible. Very salty and tasted of chicken boullion. Couldn't taste pumpkin. Service throughout meal was tardy. At some point they started pumping club music through the speakers. I suppose it works for the 20 somethings coming in for early cocktails but for dinner diners a definite no-go. Seems like a place to go for younger folks and to have cocktails. Foodies should look elsewhere. €66.50 for one app, a salad, a risotto, and 4x 2cl red wines. Bit pricey for the quality.

I ventured here last night for a work dinner as we had to entertain people coming over from the UK, and boy am I embarrassed we took them here. Everything about this place essentially was awful. The best way to describe it is, pretentious for the sake of being pretentious. From Roman numerals everywhere to an incredibly expensive menu this place could not keep up with how they were portraying themselves. Firstly, they were understaffed, so we had to sit in a different section than the one we had reserved. The new section was loud and hot and the chairs are insanely uncomfortable. They may have looked stylish but they were not comfortable, which meant an evening of having to shuffle around in my chair to be comfortable. The staff they did have working were standoffish and a bit rude, but to be honest I have come to expect this in Germany- it's not exactly renowned for great customer service. Now for the food, the actual adjective I would use to describe the level of awful is probably not allowed but wow it was awful, barely even edible in some cases (there was a lot of half eaten plates on the table and I'm sure that's not because there was too much food). I ordered the Gnocchi, as the original dish I wanted of lamb with wild garlic risotto was not an option for me. I have a weird phobia of mushrooms where they freak me out and the risotto contained mushrooms... I asked for it without mushrooms but because they pre-make all their food, this was not possible. Yes, you read this correctly: food is premade and not to order! The gnocchi arrived and it was an unappealing plate of food that was too salty and unpleasant to eat. Sadly, I was too hungry to complain. Possibly more offensive than my terrible gnocchi was my colleague's steak. He asked for it medium and what arrived was a tasteless grey lump of well-done steak. It seemed that their chef was unable to cook any steaks as all those who ordered steaks could barely finish their dry lumps of what once was a delicious cut of meat. If you're going to charge so much for food you should probably learn to cook it and cook it fresh. It takes around 21 minutes to cook risotto and it can easily be made to order if someone doesn't like mushrooms in their risotto. The next issue is that their menu online is completely different from their actual menu, which meant many people who had chosen something on the menu by looking online now had to change their options, which is not much of an issue in my opinion as they are updating with seasonal ingredients, but indicates that this place is poorly run and managed. There are so many more issues with this place that I cant even be bothered to mention them all. For example- are they a German restaurant or Mediterranean?? The website says both. I advise to choose one and maybe then not suck so much at both. I will not be going back here and judging by the reviews on here, nor will many other people.

No English menu, and no intention to help! I asked for an English menu to the host, she said ok and never came back. Server told me they didn't have one, just dropped the German menu and did not offer any help. Went up to the hostess and asked for the menu and replied they didn't have one. I told them I had to leave because I couldn't understand a word, and she did not make the minimum effort to retain me, just let me go. They are very full of themselves if they let a customer walk away without any regret! Don't ever bother to go there!!!

Good food, and great atmosphere. Definitely a place to hangout after a long trade show. We will definitely go back. Music need to change, but I think that's...
