Bidra med feedbackSuperb experience. We got here early on a Saturday morning and just loved the decor and service. We ordered seasonal beignet and the candied bacon to start, which were killer. We both ordered omelette?s which were the perfect size and cooked right! Joel our server was amazing and really felt like we were visiting with family. Within 30 minutes the place was packed so if you?re coming in a weekend come early!
1st time experience and I love everything New Orleans but I wasn't really all impressed with everything at Ruby Sunshine but what I was impressed with was the staff EXCEPTIONAL service they provided even with them being short staff, out of certain items, tarnished silverware. I will try them again for sure based just on their overall customer service.
Once we first arrived there was a great energy about the place. We ordered mimosas and appetizers which were French toast bites, fried green tomatoes, amazing by the way then patiently waited for our entrees. The problem came in once we realized ppl were leaving and our food had not came out. Next thing you know the waitress shows up asking how would the tickets be split. ??? We have waited an hour patiently with no complaints and you don't have our food ??? The waitress forgot to put our order in! That's understandable on a busy brunch day BUT it was how she tried to get out of it with the excuse she gave. They are closing the kitchen at this time ??? Excuse me.. we order around 1:10pm it's 2:00pm you guys don't close until 3:00pm. That was definitely frustrating on top of being lied to! Not a good look. Maybe hire servers who are more focused and HONEST! Hire servers with INTEGRITY. Then she says oh they are going to cook it now but I thought the kitchen was closed ??? What a holiday kick off
One of my new found favorite breakfast places. I've eaten here at least 5 times and each time it's been exceptional. I definitely recommend trying the beniets and the avocado toast!
Best biscuits I've had on this trip. We came here on a recommendation not knowing they are affiliated with Ruby Slipper in New Orleans. I had a hard time deciding what to get because it all looked and sounded good. I opted for the omelette since it came with a biscuit and grits. I also added a side of sausage gravy. Omelette and grits were good, but the biscuit and gravy were excellent. I wanted to devour it all but it was too much for me. Others in my group ordered the Chicken St Charles, breakfast tacos, and the shrimp and grits. Everyone loved their food and my daughter really like the tasso cream on her meal. Others ordered some of coffees and liked them ao much they ordered one to go.
