Bidra med feedbackI have driven past a small sign for El Rodeo daily for years during my daily commute. I finally stopped one evening after work Why didn't I stop sooner??! I had a papusa and Caribbean tacos and they were AMAZING. Wait staff were lovely, no issues. The artwork in this restaurant is a reason to go by itself. I'll be stopping a lot more in my future!
Loved it! By far the best Mexican restaurant we have been to! Great food and great service. Very friendly staff. What a find for us! We will most definitely be going back.
Great food, similar to El Patron (lots of grilled meats covered in cheese sauce), but with some Peruvian pupusaria foods too. Try the chicharron (fried pork) which is the best I’ve had. The cheese pupusas are just as good as anywhere else. Also the fried yucca. And the taquitos appetizer which is super cheap. And the menu doesn’t list it, but you can get Chile rellenos a la carte for super cheap also! Tacos are good too.
I absolutely love it! This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant we've been to! The food is fantastic, and the service is excellent. The staff is incredibly friendly. What a gem we discovered! We will definitely be returning.
However, when we arrived, I was surprised to find the restaurant completely empty except for a woman who appeared to be frustrated while waiting for a pickup order. I assumed that placing our order would be quick considering we were the only ones there. I took a menu and found a seat while I waited. While I was waiting, a family of three came in and sat down right away. I approached the counter to let them know we were ready to order but ended up waiting several minutes while I watched the family get their drinks and place their order. Despite being visible, the staff didn't acknowledge us. The woman who had seated the family was wearing a green polo shirt, and her server was in blue. I noticed that the woman in green kept going back to the kitchen, presumably to clear a table that hadn't been cleaned yet. I thought about being patient as she tended to that table, but after multiple trips back and forth, she rolled her eyes at me. At that point, we had been there for about 15 minutes. Shortly after that, another family of three walked in and waited behind us. I couldn't believe it when the woman in green, still making her many trips, suddenly called over another woman dressed in black who came from a table in the darkened front room. This woman had been there the whole time without checking in on us, and she walked right past us to bring menus to the family that had just arrived. I found myself questioning whether it was standard practice to let one family wait while promptly serving another. I thought maybe she’d come back soon, but she did not. I know you might wonder why I didn’t say anything, but I felt it was inappropriate to have to. We had already been waiting for 20 minutes. I spent the next 10 minutes hoping to see someone who could address the situation. Throughout the 30 minutes we were there, I only saw these three women working, and despite having made eye contact with me multiple times, they continued to ignore us. On top of that, several chefs walked by from the kitchen to use the same restrooms as the guests without acknowledging us. Eventually, I stepped out to call in an order at El Patron instead. I'm not sharing this to bash El Rodeo, but rather to express my hope that someone responsible sees this and addresses the issues with the staff because what we experienced was unacceptable. When we left, my son asked me what happened, and I was left at a loss for words.
