Golden China - Fredericksburg

We were in the mood for Chinese food and tried to order from our usual spot, but they were closed. Luckily, we discovered that Golden China was open. I ordered the Cashew Chicken, and it was delicious. My husband had the Egg Foo Young and absolutely loved it! We’ve definitely found our new favorite Chinese restaurant!

This restaurant has really improved, likely because the owner is actively involved in the operations. The food quality is quite good. We frequently order delivery, and it feels like our food arrives almost immediately after we place our order. They've never made a mistake on our orders. However, I would advise against ordering the sushi, as it resembles a ground-up paste rather than real fish, and it tastes quite artificial. Just take a look at the picture—it's not genuine fish but an unpleasant paste!

This is our favorite spot for quality Asian takeout. We've ordered from here at least five times and have yet to be disappointed. If you're craving takeout, definitely give it a try!

The food is decent. Some dishes were truly delicious, while others varied in quality depending on their freshness, and a few were just average. Considering the price, it was quite reasonable. There are only two small buffet counters, so there aren't a large number of options, but there are still about 15 choices. I would definitely dine here again.

The delivery driver was friendly, polite, and respectful. The food was carefully packaged in appropriate containers, and everything was neatly separated in the bag. They even used layers of cardboard to keep everything stable and prevent spills. I'm pleased to report that nothing leaked or was spilled, and I'm especially grateful that they didn’t use styrofoam! The food itself was freshly prepared, seasoned authentically, and the portions were just as expected. Each dish arrived hot, tasting as if we had ordered directly from the restaurant. We all agreed that every dish was delicious, which is also quite rare! They included a rice paper bag with an ample supply of standard condiments and fortune cookies, which I appreciated — it was nice to see that they were organized and didn’t just toss everything together like many other places do. A note: chopsticks were not included, and I didn’t think to check if I could request them when ordering. Luckily, I had some on hand, so it didn't matter this time.
