Sunken Well Tavern - Fredericksburg

We stopped on Monday morning and were surprisingly busy, but we could get a table right away. the bartender josh took care of us and was great. we started with the mozzarella sticks that were excellent. they had an additional touch with some hits. the southwesterly wrap, buffalo wrap and garnels blt with the garnels on the side were all excellent. we loved the additional page options with the sandwiches. I had the chili that had a spicy and shrunk bun and all sorts of other goodies that made it great.

I went bc the reviews were good and I like hole-in-the-walls which this has that look and feel. My sons took me to lunch and the food was ok. Nothing outstanding but not completely bad. I had a reg cheeseburger (based on reviews and I 'm a burger dude) and onion rings. One of sons has shrimp blt and my other, the Dirty Burger. I attempted to have a beer but someone couldn 't work the keg or something. My burger was supposed to be cooked medium but came out mediumish. Not bad and juicy just lacked flavor. The veggies that came atop (well actually bottom) were fresh like they were picked out a garden behind the spot. My onion rings were not really edible. They were tooo greasy on the underside. They looked and tasted like my first attempt at frying them at home. Or onions surrounded by fluffy fried flour. I couldn 't get over the grease taste to say I 'd they were actually good. My son said the shrimp blt was like eating a veggie croissant. He felt it lacked shrimp. My other liked the dirty burger and stated the chili tasted good. The pickles were good. Sweet and fresh! The service was ok. She (Catie) offered getting me a different beer a few times and I declined as I was indifferent about having one. She was attentive to our needs and sorted out minor issues we had quick and friendly.

Wwow!!!! Just had a Reuben sandwich insanely good!!!! The staff is really nice especially the gentleman with the beard couldn't catch his name

A culinary masterpiece. They go above and beyond when it comes to the service. The food is fantastic. They are all very kind people. One word, fries, their's are no joke. The revolving menu is always a treat.

Delicious food!! This time I built my own sandwich and stayed for trivia! Josh's trivia is the best!
