Bidra med feedbackThe kitchen beautifully and creatively interpretes the ingredients and meals of the area and their tasting menu is definitely a worthy pick which the waiting staff explains in detail to the guests. Worth starting the dinner as early as possible so it can be enjoyed to the fullest as the restaurant observes its closing hour very very strictly. Good value for money considering the high quality of the meal.
We needed a quick lunch on our way from Skagen to Århus. Looked up in tripadvisor and found Gratværk as first recommendation. Good choice ! Two summer salads and two Fladstrand local beers were enjoyed to low saxophone music. Totally refreshing stay, can heartily recommend.
Excellent food, tastes, recommendations and service explaining everything and more uf you have questions). A straight recommendation !
My friend and I arrived in Frederikshavn to find our ferry had been delayed. We randomly walked into Gratværk without a reservation, and frankly we weren't appropriately dressed to be in such a nice restaurant. The waiter made us feel welcome and guided us through the menu. We ordered a selection of small dishes and found them all to be imaginative, fresh, perfectly prepared and artistically and beautifully plated. The waiter was enormously proud of his restaurant and knew everything about the food, how it tied in with Danish culinary tradition, right down to which type of flowers the bees who made the honey visited that went into the local mead we sampled. I really can't think of a way to praise this restaurant enough. The food is art.
Dinner was a complete experience for the senses, with elaborated, delicious dishes accompanied by excellent presentations from the knowledgeable staff. All details were thought through in every course, including the complimentary food. The service was outstandingly kind and did not hesitate to share every detail about our dinner in perfect English, given our poor Danish. Sure we will visit again if back in the region!
