Dickey's Barbecue Pit - Freeport

Finally got to try this place and this is definitely some good bbq food! Almost like a five guys but for bbq food really high quality ingredients fresh food and everything was delicious from the brisket to the sides everything was great can?t wait to go back!

Ok the food is good I?m not going to lie, but the customer service on various occasions has been horrendous. From being literally ignored by staff in an empty store to watching staff verbally and almost physically assault an Uber driver a few weeks ago, this place should shut down and regroup before they face a lawsuit.

This location is under new ownership. What a difference! Entered and was immediately welcomed and met the new owner. The food was super delicious. I 'm glad it 's open again- and it 's already noticeable the difference that has been made. Will definitely come back again. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I want so badly to like this place. The food is good but the customer service is always so bad. Walked in tonight to order food to take home. There was no customers in the store, just the girl working. When we walked in she wasn 't doing anything, but when we entered she suddenly got very busy moving around in the kitchen area. My mother and I stood around and waited minutes for our order to be taken. The girl ignored us the whole time. We were there for almost 7 minutes when we finally gave up. As we were walking out the door, the girl very passive aggressively said, have a nice evening . If this place stays open for another year longer I 'll be surprised. What a complete joke.

Our 1st experience was great order the potato salad,macaroni, Ribs , coleslaw ???? on 9 22 order the pull pork sandwich 2 was very disappointed where was the pull PORK ????Very disappointed since the 1st food was Awesome, the beans r tasty as well as the Potatoe Salad ???? ???? will try PULL PORK AGAIN BUT POTIION SHOULD BE FILLED MORE....????ESP. 4 $8.50 My bro order the Wings Half Rack PORK Rib Plate Potatoe Salad . Total bill $67.09

After passing this location in Freeport many times since they opened, finally stopped in for lunch. Saw a great choice since it was an alternative to a sandwich. The Giant Baker with Meat. This is a baked potato with what was realized burnt ends (brisket) and other toppings, sour cream, butter and cheese all for $15.00. I expected a giant potato smothered with the meat and toppings. After all $15.00. What I got was a potato that was on the small side or in other words hardly Giant and a few pieces of chopped up meat a small dollop of sour cream and a sparsely sprinkle of shredded cheese. To top it off the potato was hardly warm and semi hard. Another 20 minutes minimum was still needed to finish cooking. Sorry Dickey 's for $15.00 this is unacceptable. Spend a few more pennies and get Large to Giant potatoes. May I suggest our own Long Island grown potatoes. And for $15.00 put some meat on the potatoes. Just to keep the record straight the service was terrific.
