Bidra med feedbackFrom the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed at this restaurant. The hosts are very courteous, and it's a charming spot to enjoy with friends or for a date. The cuisine is delicious, crafted by a talented chef, and the prices are reasonable. The service is also excellent. I highly recommend it!
Not worth it. I've been a patron since they first opened and used to love this place. However, this was my first visit under new management, and it was the worst service I've ever experienced. To make matters worse, they now add an 18% gratuity to every bill. This means they can provide any level of service they choose, but their servers will still receive that guaranteed tip. I don’t eat at any restaurant that automatically includes a gratuity on every check, regardless of whether you’re a solo diner or part of a larger group. According to Webster's, a gratuity is something given voluntarily or beyond obligation for a service. The key word is VOLUNTARILY. Although the food is good, the mandatory service charge and the quality of service have made this place a no-go for me. I understand they were busy because of Mother’s Day, but I’ve been there during busy times before without having to wait three hours for pasta, a salad, and a sandwich. I had to ask four times for the drinks we ordered, and it was incredibly frustrating to see two tables that arrived after me get their food and leave before I was even served. That was the last straw. If you decide to go, be prepared for questionable service and remember that 18% will be added to your bill, no matter how the service is. Good luck.
Today I went to Turnpike Cafe for lunch. They have a nice menu, with a good variety of food choices, and reasonable prices. The food was good, but service was terrible. The wait for our meals (3 of us) was ridiculous, and the we weren't even that crowded. When they good was served, were reach got our meal one at a time. I booked how we were taking turns watching each other day. We had to want them down to get the check, and then again waited for them to collect the credit card. By then we were practically the only ones on the restaurant, so they were even less empty than before. Then to top it all off, they automatically added ¹8% gratuity on the bill. I won't be rushing back there anytime soon.
The restaurant wasn't very busy, which allowed us to receive respectful service from the waiter. He was polite and took our orders promptly, bringing them to us quickly and efficiently. The food was quite good, and the portions were satisfying. Overall, the ambiance of the cafe was peaceful, and the pictures on the walls were both appetizing and thought-provoking.
An extremely professional service oriented service with a comforting atmosphere with five star chefs. A unique and exquisite dining experience where the owner as well as the chefs make you feel welcome and show concern individually table to table. I would most definitely recommend the experience to others as well as I would the cuisine. Thank you jacob.
