Max's Bistro - Fresno

Very good service, variety in the menu, meats are high quality and the appetizers were amazing! I like the atmosphere inside, it was edgy and modern show casing a local artist I believe.

Service was incredible! We got seated right away once everyone from our party arrived. Our server so very nice with our big crowd and really patient. She shared their specials and everything sounded really good. Prices were high especially for the quality of food.... We each got something different and tried each others dish. The ratings were 4-7 out of 10(being the highest). We were pretty disappointed with the food and probably wouldn't be our first choice to come back.

I would say that a majority of Max's food is very delicious. I wasn't too excited with the steak last time, but everything else was very good. The ambiance is trendy and the art is fantastic. Prices are a little steep but it pairs well with the high end food.

My sister was visiting from NY and wanted to have a nice dinner somewhere. My mom and I decided to come here. We started off with the 3 different fries. They were so filling that we were unable to finish our delicious meals when they arrived. Don't let it stop you. Order the fries. They are well worth it.

I'm left speechless, I can't recommend Max's Bistro and Bar enough to host a large party! This restaurant was the destination for my Grandma's 30-person birthday party. The flow of the courses, service by the staff, and our time dining were executed perfectly. Our reservations were at 4:00 p.m. and the restaurant was kind enough to let us set up half an hour early. We stayed until 8:00 p.m. and we were never rushed out. The restaurant's ambiance is open, inviting, with a touch of casual class. It's the perfect spot for date nights or large party gatherings. I highly praise Max's for their service! From helping set up and clean up, serving all of our three-course items to perfection, and constantly checking in and filling our glasses--all guests were left extremely satisfied and pleased. If I could give 10 stars for their service I would. For my Grandma's birthday dinner, we chose to celebrate with a banquet-style menu which was a three-course of salad, entree, and dessert. I had the Organic Mixed Green Salad--fresh, good, and nothing exciting. For my entree, I ordered the King Salmon which came with orzo and a spiced sauce. The salmon was moist but a little oily for my taste. The cook on it was perfect and the skin was crispy. For dessert, I ended up with their Toffee Bread Pudding (no whip cream or ice cream). The bread pudding was decadent, rich, and very sweet! My Grandma had the same salad and dessert but the Seafood Linguini as her entree. It was on the oilier side and not seasoned well--I'd give the food a four out of five. All of us were extremely stuffed, I ended up packing two of my courses up and lots of leftover boxes were needed. My Grandma was extremely happy to have celebrated her birthday at Max's. All of us enjoyed our time dining here, the portions are ginormous, service is superb, and it's located in a quiet strip mall off of Bullard Ave with ample parking. Thank you Max's for hosting us!
