Bidra med feedbackThis is a decent little taco shop. You can't beat the 99-cent tacos on Wednesdays. Since it's in my neighborhood, I drop by every couple of weeks. So far, my favorite dish on the menu is the Asada quesadilla. Just a heads up, the hot sauce isn't very spicy, haha.
I love the food here, my favorites is the asada fries and Chile verde burrito, there taco are also really nice. Friendly staff, good food, and good pricing .
Papa Tio's is no longer in operation. This small, woman-owned, minority-owned independent business closed its doors on December 31, 2019. I was aware that they had been facing challenges. Along Olive Avenue, between Palm and Fruit, there are three Mexican restaurants, and just two blocks away, construction is underway on a new chain Mexican restaurant that has significant parking issues. So we’ve gone from perhaps four options to currently two or three. Who are the City of Fresno's zoning officials, council members, or code enforcement really representing? I was truly saddened to hear that this little restaurant has shut down—more for the owners than for myself. After all, I can still walk to three Mexican restaurants (excluding the half-built chain). I'm referring to the one at Palm and Belmont, as I have no intention of supporting the place at Fruit and Olive, which is uncertain about its opening. I plan to reach out to District 3 council member Miguel Arias regarding this situation. I will update this post if his office provides a response. If you need answers, you can reach out via [hidden email], [hidden email], or call 559-621-8000. Speak up, make your voice heard! Get out and vote! Public officials need to be held accountable! Fresno deserves better!
This was our first visit, and my girlfriend and I decided to keep it simple by ordering four chicken tacos. The chicken was fantastic—juicy and crispy. I found myself wanting more! The salsas were also excellent. I highly recommend this little spot; don't be fooled by appearances!
Delicious food. Wonderful customer service. It’s a Fresno gem for sure.
