Kotta Sushi Lounge - Frisco

The appetizers, sushi, and drinks were fantastic as usual. However, the service was subpar. I constantly had to seek out staff to refill our drinks. Both water and alcoholic beverages in our group were left empty and it took the server a long time to come back to our table.

Our server Megan was fantastic. She was able to accommodate my young child's needs perfectly and was very friendly and attentive throughout the meal.

This was our first visit to Kotta. We had a rough start as they couldn't find my confirmed reservation through Open Table, despite showing them my confirmation text. The hostess (with assistance) eventually realized that our table had been mistakenly given to someone else a few minutes earlier. However, they managed to find us a table. Our server, Megan, was excellent. She allowed us plenty of time to choose our dishes and mentioned that my choice, The French Roll, was a popular one. Substituting soy paper was no issue. My husband preferred my roll over his, but we both agreed that everything was very fresh and well presented. We found it odd that ginger and wasabi were not automatically served, but the server brought us ginger when we asked for it. The dining area was quite small and busy. Parking in the center was a bit of a challenge, but with some patience, we were able to find a shaded spot relatively close by.

One roll we didn’t much care for but the place was nice, service good and all in all I’d go back and try more things no problem.

Father’s Day dinner was a Great experience as usual!! We love the updates in decor, that they have done this year! We have been coming here for years and are never disappointed!❤️
