Bidra med feedbackLittle Flip Out ordered a ground beef quesadilla and absolutely loved it. He even asked later if we could get him another one, which is a rare request! Mrs. Flip Out tried the Fish Tacos, and our server recommended the sides of grilled vegetables and Epazote white rice, both of which were excellent. Littlest Flip Out also enjoyed everything we shared with him, especially the grilled veggies. I had the Fernandez, which featured cheese enchiladas topped with “Dad’s Texas State Fair chili,” accompanied by Spanish rice and refried beans. It also included a soft and crispy taco. The cheese enchiladas with chili were so delicious that my taste buds were yearning for more, and the rest of my meal was just as delightful. La Hacienda Ranch has definitely made our list of places we MUST visit again. It was truly an exceptional experience!
One of my biggest frustrations is that many Mexican restaurants claim to be traditional, yet they stuff their burritos with rice, lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream, which strays far from what a traditional burrito should be. A real Mexican burrito is simply meat, beans, cheese, and potentially some peppers, onions, and tomatoes—nothing more. There shouldn’t be sour cream, guacamole, or any sort of special sauces. All this Mexican-American food originating from places like San Francisco just doesn’t sit right with me. I really wish these restaurants would stop it; I don’t need 6 pounds of rice and just 2 ounces of meat in my burrito.
I’m giving this place 2 stars solely because the service was good. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. There are simply too many better options out there for me to consider returning. I ordered brisket tacos, which came with three corn tortillas, but they hardly had any meat. The nachos were soggy and flavorless. I won’t be coming back.
Shoutout to the homeland for margaritas!! So delicious and refreshing in the summertime heat. Also there’s lots of flavor in the fajitas! Love
My wife and I had lunch, today 10/5/24. This was our first time to the Frisco restaurant on Preston Rd. I had previously visited the, now closed, Lewisville restaurant back in 2014. You did not disappoint. Food (piping hot the we like it), service and atmosphere were superb just as I remember. Our server, Garrett, was outstanding. Great personality. We will definitely return. We live in Denton, need a restaurant there, so it's a 40 minute drive for us but, well worth it. Thank you for a great experience.
