Silverheels at the Ore House - Frisco

Excellent service! the food took a long time to get out, but it was a holiday.

My husband and I have been dining at Silverheels for close to 30 years. We eat at the restaurant several times a year even thought the consistency of the food can vary. One of the advantages of eating at the restaurant is that they take reservations. We ate at the restaurant on Tuesday, December 27. As always the crab rangoons were outstandingly prepared and delicious. The special mussel dish got high marks for size and quality. Two of the people ate short ribs they rated as good with the mashed potatoes getting a high rating for taste. I had the halibut special, which was expensive and to my taste not worth the price. The filet was thin and slightly dried out. The fried rice side was delicious but should have been hotter when the dish was served. Next time I will order one of the two trouts, since they are always well prepared and delicious.

Food was decent, not great. Service was very good. I really don’t recommend for sushi

The hostess staff were very accommodating. We were stuck in blizzard traffic had to keep moving our reservation back. They were so gracious to let us change our reservation for 7:00 to 8:30. We were welcomed and served and not rushed despite the late hour. Thank you to them for giving us a relaxing evening after a very long travel day.

We were not told of the automatic gratuity on our bill so double tipped. Food was really good and so was the service, but.....
