The Queens - Fylde

We were recommended to come here for a meal. What a delightful surprise. The food and service were spot on from the greeting on the door to the service at the table. We all ordered different items from the menu all.of which were hot, tasty and delicious We enjoyed our visit so much we came back 2 days later for another visit. Reasonably priced and dog friendly. If you want to guarantee a table book in advance at busy times as it fills up quickly, a testament to how nice the place is.

2 nights stay. Lovely room, friendly staff. Great shepherds pie and pork chop. Accompanied with a beer and cheeky cocktail.

The best breakfast we have had in a long time, the eggs were cooked to perfection, bacon was lean and not over cooked. The staff were friendly and attentive. The restaurant was warm and cosy and the food served hot on lovely crockery.

Having been to the queen's for many years. We have found that the service and quality has dropped significantly. The staff at the front of house just seem to want to mess about laughing and oking while playing on their mobiles. The last few times we have been in the toilets have been in a state as well as paper and debris in the bar. We saw at lest five members of staff just wading thru the mess on the bar floor. Now the food, well most mains i have had have been at best average. The starters are normally OK, but just ok nothing special. My partner had fish and chips the other day and it was shocking the chips where more like wedges and most where burnt the fish, what fish. There was way to much over cooked greasy batter and the fish was so thin inside. For £16 it should have been bang on. I had the beef wellington and it isn't a true Wellington but a lot of compressed beef in a small amount of pastry. This was ok however the meat was dry. There was supposed to be kale on the dish and there was literally one tiny bit on top like a sprig of parsley. Only one carrot and some mash. Tasted ok but a tad bland. I think this place needs to up its game especially now its winter and they are relaying on locals for business. Food 5 out of 10 Front of house 4 Wating on staff 7 Won't be eating there again

5/5 fantastic NYE stay and NYE night. We enjoyed a great two-night stay at the Queens for New Year's Eve. The room was impeccably clean lovely bathroom and balcony overlooking the common. New Year's Eve at the hotel was great fun live music bagpipes and fireworks– great food, great entertainment, and a perfect way to kick off the year. The New Year's Eve menu was lovely everyone in our party thought it was delicious. Waking up on New Year’s Day to a late cooked breakfast was fantastic too. Breakfast was equally good all freshly prepared. Look forward to coming back again soon.
