I was excited to find an old pizza shop with a dining room, beer, and wine for a date night. My first impression was that it was a cool spot, but the 70's rock music was a bit too loud for my taste. The service was friendly, fast, and attentive. The restaurant was clean and bright, although a bit small. My partner and I enjoyed the classic alternative music playing in the background, but it wasn't a huge deal. They had a good selection of beer, seltzer, and wine. And then there was the pizza. We ordered the Kevin Bacon on Sicilian crust. The crust was light and airy, wood-fired and bubbly. The sauce was flavorful and well-balanced. The pizza was a bit greasy due to the pepperoni, but not overly so, and it was perfect with the candied speck on top. I could have eaten it all day by myself! Overall, it was a must-try, and we will definitely be back.
I was really looking forward to trying this pizza after reading some positive reviews. We decided to order the Smokey Robinson pizza. Unfortunately, the pizza arrived cold, stuck to the box, with all the toppings piled in the middle. The taste was good, so I can imagine that on a better day, it might be a decent pizza. However, some slices didn't even have sauce on them. I wanted to return the pizza, but the restaurant was already closed, so we had to settle. I doubt I will ever order from or recommend this restaurant again.
The pizza was pretty good, but slightly overpriced for what you get (otherwise deserving of 5 stars). The $23 price tag didn't seem worth it. The wings were delicious, but it's best to skip the garlic bread.
Smokey robinson pizza was amazing. perfect. great location in olde hilliard. will often be back. full bar options, cauliflower gluten-free option also. beautiful terrace. best pizza in ohio. had the hand tormented, but they have Detroit style and told me about tavern style to thin crust. part of D.O.R.A big for families.
Been eating here since it first opened almost once a week- top notch pizza that starts with the dough- you can't go wrong with the three styles they have (hand tossed, Detroit, Sicilian) each crust has lots of charred bubbles. The sauce is simple, not too sweet or over powered by spices. And the toppings- candied bacon and ezzo cup pepperoni and sausages- can't go wrong here . And don't skip on the homemade ranch! Ps- if you like Jets pizza, try the Detroit style from Sextons- you'll never go back to jets
