Hands down, best Mexican restaurant in Gainesville, even though it may not look like much from the outside. They have the best food, chips, salsa, drinks and friendly staff. Ignore the negative reviews on here…if you have functional tastebuds, you will love the food here, no other Mexican restaurant in town comes close.

I have been going to El Maguey for many years. The food is always delicious and the service is perfect. I highly recommend El Maguey!
