Pilgrims Hostel - Galle

Honestly, the best place we have eaten throughout our stay in Sri Lanka! The pizza was full of taste and the servings for rice and curry perfect. This restaurant is also environmentally friendly and shows vegetarian and vegan elements on the menu. Perfect!

We had dinner here only. Excellent Tuna and 6 curries. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable of the area. Would recommend.

We had the most tasty dinner in Pilgrim Hostel. We had the hummus as a little starter, specialty of 6 curries and rice (chicken is pretty spicey, others mild but all yum) and a tuna steak with chips and salad for mains. Great atmosphere and very chill to relax for dinner!

Very good value hostel right in the heart of Galle Fort. The hostel beds themselves are the biggest I've seen in hostels wide and long giving a really a comfortable night's stay. There's an individual fan at the end of each bed and plug sockets on the side of each bed so it's well designed. Everyone also have their own individual locker space in the shower area big enough to fit backpacks in. The restaurant downstairs also serves a really tasty rice and curry combo, with the cheapest meal in Fort at something like 450 baht (other places in Fort are much more! . Good choice for budget travellers who want the central location.

Nice guest house located inside the walls of the fort. The hostel is at a walking distance from the train station (about 15 minutes). The location on Maps Me is wrong but near. Close to a good spot for sunsets. The beds are comfy. The rooms has AC which is limited in terms of hours. Lockers are available for bags and personal belongings. Showers and toilets are basic. There is a bit of a water leak which is dangerous in the stairs. Restaurant on the main floor is nice. The curries are well priced for inside the wall (since everything is really expensive).
