Hey Mikey's Ice Cream - Galveston

This place is pretty good. The line is pretty long and the service was on the slower side, but the staff was friendly and there was more than enough seating. There aren't really any basic flavors like vanilla or plain chocolate, so if that's your thing maybe try somewhere else. The portions are a really great size and they do offer samples. I wasn't blown away by the ice cream or the brownie (I got a sundae), but it was still pretty good.

Hey Mikey?s has amazing ice cream and kind employees. I got strawberry ice sorbet and it was creamy and delicious. I love this place so much. They have many unique flavors. ?

Best ice cream on the island! The staff here is always friendly and welcoming and the homemade ice cream is absolutely heavenly. I would eat here every day if I could!! If you haven?t tried the egg nog ice cream, you?re missing out.

I surprised my husband with ice cream from Hey Mikey's for his pool party this past weekend, and I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience! They delivered right to our house, making the whole process incredibly easy. We sampled several flavors: key lime pie, pineapple cheesecake, winter storm, and the ice cream sandwiches. Every flavor was delicious, and everyone kept asking, "Where did you get this? It’s so good!"

I visited this evening and ordered three pints to go, each priced at $10. Unfortunately, the amount of ice cream in each pint was disappointing, leaving a lot of empty space in the containers. I would have received more ice cream if I had chosen a waffle cone instead. I really appreciate supporting local businesses, and the ice cream itself is good, but the value just isn’t there if this is how they cut back on to-go orders.
