Bidra med feedbackWe booked here primarily because we were sight-seeing in the Kingston area and inadvertently picked Queens University Homecoming weekend. B & B's are always a bit of a ****-shoot, and this one was in the mid-range for certain. Lovely gardens and beautifully appointed, but our room was very small and the 3 piece washroom was closet sized. Adequate, but we are not small people and to call it a snug fit would be an understatement. Breakfast was a $7.00/person/night extra, unusual for a B & B and frankly it was a bit of a disappointment. The hash browns were lacking in flavour and it was only the yummy breakfast sausages that saved the day
Stayed here one night and can recommend. Owner is friendly and helpful with local knowledge and booking a restaurant. Breakfast is really good and fresh with a great selection. The Inn itself is beautiful and lots of interesting antiques. The lounge area is comfortable. They no longer do dinner here. Stunning garden if the weather is good to enjoy too.
Nice variety of items. Buffet style, with a few warm items. Breakfast only served between 8:30-9:30 am,
We were so disappointed but should have realized there might be a problem when we reserved and were the only people there, although another couple arrived later. The setting is in an old house and we were in a glassed in patio with a view of the street. Pleasant decore and obviously very quiet. No Buzz here.We ordered lamb shank which was big mistake and we should not have tried to eat it. Tough and mostly gristle. When the waitress came over to enquire about the meal, we told her and she was very responsive. Informed us that the chef could not serve us another one that would be different but we could order another meal which we did and shared a Seafood Fettuccini (which was adequate)We will not return to try again and can only assume that the newest restaurant in town, The Riva, is taking away their business.
