Bidra med feedbackI wish I could give this place more than five stars! We just moved to town three hours ago and already feel like we've found our favorite spot. Everything we tasted was incredible, from the fried steak to the banana pudding, biscuits, cornbread, chicken strips, burger, and mashed potatoes—all of it was fantastic! The server was so charming, and the chef even came by to check on how we enjoyed our meal, which was a lovely touch. Plus, the prices were very reasonable, comparable to fast food. I can't wait to try their breakfast! We will definitely be coming back often!
I went to Big Ed's for breakfast, and while the service was outstanding, I found the food to be somewhat disappointing. My wife and I felt the same way. One odd thing was that they served the grits on top of the eggs, which didn't appeal to us. Overall, the excellent service made the experience worthwhile, but the food could use some improvement.
Kid-friendliness: The tables were the right height for high chairs, and Angelica made sure we had fresh biscuits for our little one.
The food here is always good, at least in our experience, and the wait staff excellent. I give the three star review because now Big Ed's is charging a $3.00 fee for using a credit card to pay. This is new and is not posted on the door, included on the menu, nor mentioned by the wait staff. We were completely unaware until we stood at the check out counter. I understand these rates have gone up for restaurant owners but if an establishment agrees to accept credit cards, then the fees are part of doing business. I seems awfully close to gouging to me and left a bitter taste with us.
Not nearly as good as Big Ed's North. SO GO TO BIG ED'S NORTH!!So, I took my BFF from the west coast here, bragging about how good the southern food is (based on my many dining experiences at Big Ed's North) and our food was simply not good. I'm also surprised that the server did not even notice that I had only taken two bites of my food and my friend had only taken a few of hers.
