Walking Crab - Garner

April 15 2022 at 615pm. I ordered two plates. A pick 3 with scallops shrimp and flounder. And just a pick 2 flounder and shrimp. Now it was hot so no complaints there. I wanted cocktail and non of that. But to the food. Fish shrimp and scallops had no flavor at all. Taste like they battered in with no seasoning. Mac and cheese not good no flavor again. I ate some but the rest is going to my KING OUTSIDE

I normally eat here over the years. Decided to go cause it had been a while. Ordered crabs and shrimp. Everything on my plate was undercooked. The potatoes were raw i mean hard raw. They had to redo my tray because the seafood was bare. No seasoning at all. They had the nerve to try to dress it up with old bay. The second tray wasnt any better. There was a liquid water at the bottom of the tray. Worse seafood I had in a while. I was shocked by the quality of the food given my past experiences where the food was exceptional. The shrimp were small like cocktail shrimp and definetly not the portion i paid for. Only got like 5 or 6. No eggs but it suppose to came with eggs. Had to finish cooking my food at home cause the shrimp and potatoes were raw. Just terrible. I will never come back. There should be more then a bunch of apologies in these reviews and an email. This restaurant needs to do better

Listen, I’m from VA so it’s hard to impress me down here when it comes to Seafood, but I went to Walking Crab yesterday and it was def like that! Def going back soon.

Perhaps the positive reviews are old reviews from a time when this place actually was good or under different management. Most likely they are from friends and family of the owners. I ordered food here today, and what I paid $50 for was absolute GARBAGE. Essentially, I got a plastic bag filled with some kind of brown oily water, weighted down with hunks of potatoes, a few pieces of a sausage, a cob of corn, a semblance of broccoli, and meatless crab shells. I absolutely hate to bash what appears to be a Black-owned business. But hey, you scammed me. So I don’t feel too bad about it. Typically, I would have returned to the business for a refund in a situation like this. But since I’m a trucker, I don’t always have that opportunity.

Customer service was amazing as the food. The first time I can ever go here and tell honestly that I will definitely go back in the near future. Had some fried catfish with frits and crab legs, mouseage, oak on the cob, srimp, potatoes that with their savory garlic butter on top. I would recommend this place to everyone.
