Black Cup Cafe - Geelong

This cafe is a welcome addition to the East Geelong area.  Reasonably good coffee and the food options for lunch are great.  The staff are mostly great although I have one small criticism.  They are clearly trained to only serve at 'the counter ' so unless you are standing right at the cashier they completely ignore you.  It feels pretty rude when you are standing at the edge of the cafe hoping someone could get a high chair for you, there are two staff less than a metre from you and you are completely ignored.  I had to say 'Excuse Me ' in a firm voice to get them to make eye contact with me.  Such a small thing to fix as well so hopefully they do something about it because apart from this the staff are actually quite friendly and attentive.

Loved my Egg Florentine, (this is my fav dish I order a most cafe's for brunch) tick it off as one of the best. Coffee very strong and slightly bitter, so had two. I've also eaten here for lunch, their salads of the day are amazing. I had the one with lots of sprouts, so yummy and healthy. No rudeness during my visits, every single staff member greeted me with a hello. Will be back

Best coffee in Geelong if you like a nice strong flavour.Delicious food as well though it's overpriced.

Really nice variety of healthy food aswell as not-so-healthy food! A bit pricey but willing to pay for good food.

Bizzy buzzy chick place friendly staff great service, cakes and food on display. Coffee not bad too!!
