Le Bonheur - Genève

We stumbled across this place searching for another asian restaurant. My initial instinct was to keep searching but thought why not give it a chance. All in all the service was very friendly albeit extremely slow. We ordered steamed pork dim sum (CHF which...were not tasty (too fatty) to me but my finance seemed to enjoy enough. We also ordered some stir fry veggies which were not seasoned and there was a strange gelatinous gel coating them. For our mains' we tried a vietnamese beef noodle soup (CHF and thai chicken curry (CHF and rice (CHF which were really sub par. The beef soup broth was just okay; overly salty and had a real greasiness to it that stuck to your lips. The soup really only had overcooked rice noodles and a small amount of stewing beef where the picture in the menu painted the picture of robust veggie and beef noodle dish. The chicken curry was the worst for us. The sauce tasted prepackaged or made from powder and the chicken had one of the strangest textures I have every experienced very thinly slice and a sponge like texture. Final verdict no issues with the staff but the food is so poor we would never go back and would recommending avoiding. We basically finished about a of what we ordered and had to say enough and cut our losses. There is a fantastic Korean BBQ place named Gaya near by which would be a much better asian alternative.

A small place, but the location is great on Place Cornavin. I usually go here for Takeaway. They have nice dishes under chf rice included. And they generously offer me a glass of free juice on hot days. I like this place and its...charm.
