La Mexicana - Germantown

The most terrible place I was in this distance. If you walk in him like your walk into a western bar. The place is all wood and dusty. I ordered a taco salad they never gave me rice. The lady in the back doesn't look happy and when I asked for rice, they put it in a sauce cup like the one you put in ketchup. My friend ordered afteros. There were 3 chicken strips and four crushed cheese pieces. I'll never eat there again. Just terrible!

Dine in here with my family yesterday and they love this restaurant, and also in Gaithersburg area. We had a good time and food is delicious..

La Mexicana has been my ?go to place? not only for good food and the nice portion sizes they serve, but to also have the ultimate experience with the best waitress I have ever had the pleasure of meeting, Alexis. There are so many restaurants in the area that you can choose from but when you think of who will give you the upmost best customer service, attentiveness, eagerness to ensure you are satisfied and a wonderful personality you can encounter there?s no one who can compare. Alexis has made loyal customers out of my husband and myself. I have recommended so many friends and family to this establishment because of the detailed service she provides to each customer. After a hard day of work, Alexis welcomes you upon entry with excitement and ensures your experience and food will be the best!!! There?s no slacking with this hard worker. She?s not only an employee but a shining light that my family and I look forward to seeing. We know our day will be brightened with her wonderful personality and service. Although the food is great, I have encountered very mean servers and a manager at the Shady Grove La Mexicana location in which derailed me from supporting this establishment. My family decided to give it another try and due to meeting Alexis she reassured us that our experience would never be that way again. Thankfully, she has kept her word and I can?t stop ranting to everyone how important it is to check out this landmark because of how wonderful Alexis has been. Now all my Government friends, family, and I have become a dedicated, loyal, and repeated customers for a great drink and delicious food . Excellent job La Mexicana for doing a prestigious job of hiring a bartender/ server with such great personable skills. She makes our experience here so much better. Alexis represents the restaurant well and while interacting with other customers we all have had the same feedback that she is the person we most enjoy seeing. Thank you Alexis for providing the joy we all need and for going above and beyond. Bravo to you!!

La Mexicana is an upbeat night scene with a great variety of music... entertaining karaoke and more. Enjoy everything from 90's classics to Go-go. If you like your alcohol ... the mixed drinks pack a nice punch.
