Pizzeria Da Giulio - Gernsheim

In the da gulio you get friendly and land in a rustic restaurant. in summer they can also sit outside in the beer garden. on the tables lie clean white tablecloths. if a table is free, it will be restored for the next guests. the service comes fast and I ordered a pizza mix. shortly after drinking came also my pizza and that although all the tables were occupied and other guests still ordered to eat. she looked delicious and so she tasted. the teig was pleasantly crispy and inside beautifully delicate and aromatic. that was also super maybe something too salty. price is here. €4.50 is really suitable for this.

We found this just by coincidence as we looked for a place to have dinner in Gernsheim. This was really a nice surprise, as we just walked in, immediately felt the warmth of Italian hospitality. Coming from Rome we felt at home. Food was exquisite...and not pretentious; same for the house wine. Service was great. The whole experience was just amazing! And on top of all that an incredibly low €. I haven't seen this kind of value for money for a while, especially in Germany!

We have been da Giulio for dinner, an evening when the German football team was playing at the EURO championship. So very few people and service very fast. And a very nice garden. At Da Giulio you can eat very good pizza cooked very...thin in Italian style and in many possible combinations; all pizzas can be made small or large, as you prefer. Good choice also of first courses still italian style (pasta, lasagna, linguine, spaghetti) and of main courses, mainly based on Schnitzel prepared in many variations. What's been a pity, no dessert but only ice cream. Good prices, always depending on what you eat, you can have a starter and a main course with half-litre beer and a limoncello for euro.
