Jack's Barbecue - GIBSONVILLE

The food was okay, nothing to brag about but not bad either. Just your basic “diner” food. I was a little turned off seeing no one handling the food had gloves on. Employees were very friendly though!

I only ate here when I visited my sister who lives in Gibsonville and it was close by and convenient.. The food can be good sometimes depending on what you order.. the hot dogs are pretty good and the hamburger is ok.. a lot of the stuff I've tried is not all bad but not great either.. but the real kicker is that for the price they give you kid portions!.. I ordered a philly sandwich one time.. that really wasn't that good.. and I ordered some fries, okra and squash casserole.. it all came crammed on a small paper plate! It was only literally 2 small bites of the squash casserole.. about 6 or 7 pieces of okra and about 8 french fries.. that was it! It was like a child's plate that I payed over $20 for! I ordered meatloaf another time and it was same thing. Childs portiion. Plus it wasn't that good.. my daughter ordered something like country fried steak and she couldn't eat it cause it was definitely not country fried steak! If I ever eat there again it will only be for a hot dog or maybe a burger. And only because it is close to my sister's and in a hurry or something.. otherwise I would go somewhere else. ..I would recommend anybody going somewhere else to avoid being highly disappointed.

Cozy dinner serves lots of the good ol fashion foods any southern small town knows.Very friendly wait staff and very affordable. Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly menu, they serve the typical items most kids eat : chicken tenders and fries, Mac n cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn dogs etc...if u can't find something your picky kido will eat here....I suggest you should re-read the menu Parking: During the busy times it can be difficult to find a spot close by... however there are places behind the building,along the main street and across the street in the adjacent lots (paved and gravel) to park with a short stroll across the road. Keep in mind thru the week lots of large trucks will stop in and take up these lots.

Love this little place in gibsonville. Wanted a hotdog and stopped by for the first time and found out they have several options to choose from. Daily specials, burgers, hotdogs, plate specials, and chocolate chess pie was just like grandma's. Very friendly staff. Will definitely be visiting often.

Had the BBQ chicken plate. Everything was delicious.
