Do not let the more rustic ambiente deter, eating is simply super. we had special luck, as we got a table on a warm summer evening in the pretty courtyard. the map not very extensive, seasonal, lets hope. brot, various sorts, very good and butter as well as crimp squares in advance. the mixed dish, sometimes not the usual Italian antipasti, very extensive, very nice, very good each individual taste - white covered, extra dish and cutlery. main dishes, two vegetarian on map, one with alcohol, otherwise meat dishes, which make you already at read the mouth watery. the eating very high standard (I would have wished the teller a little more clearly and with less soned) but all at the table most satisfied, the taste really fantastic. also the dessert lovingly decorated and just good. the service really efficient, careful, friendly and competent. the wine card is somewhat economical but usable, open only German white wines - but good to the menus that are offered by the way for a pleasant price, fit - beer and noble spirits. Overall a really harmonious evening with good price-performance ratio and the firm intention to repeat the journey to gifhorn demnacht.Maybe there was a small cook here
The food - we had economical in various variations - was very delicious. the price level is also high, but appropriate. for 5 stars I lack the last ground, yet in gifhorn a recommendation.
We were in the ratsweinkeller for a change of season and can praise the offered 5 courses menu in the highest tones! A silvery dinner in excellent quality for 95 euro is difficult to find. the dessert was very tasty, unfortunately we had to stand for it. therefore in the evaluation only a "very good."
Whenever we get to eat at lunch, we have 2 dishes as a " lunch table and dish dish" to choose from. both can be ordered in a safe way, as they are also placed at star level in this form, usually in a Swabian manner. pity that this offer is offered only the, do, fr and ewtl. sa noon. a space reservation is necessary, as strongly requested.
The ratsweinkeller is the top address in gifhorn. it is located in a listed 16th century technical building, the former Rathaus in gifhorn. only the building is worth a visit. The owner and chef chef bosch is a king supp of them. I haven't got such soups in any restaurant. as well as the appetizers as the "appetizer variation" or the carpaccio from the cattle are a pleasure. everything is served so beautifully decorated that it is an eyewitness. the water is running together in the munde.The main dishes, many from the Swabian, are of best quality and the socks only ......!!! not to forget the cream brulée, unique!
