Slate Bistro - Gilbert

My soup was only half full and my sandwich is soggy. Feels right for 30$?

First time ordering from here and was pleasantly surprised! Everything was fresh, tasty and that pesto sauce was bombbb!

The food itself was very disappointed. The service... terrible. We are very flexible and understand slow service, but what we have tonight was no service at all. The people at our table and at the table are begging for water replenishment... if you needed everything you had to go to the bar to get it because there is no server in sight. Even the bartender had to ask us to print a check so we could pay because the servers never came out again. We came at 6:50 and were told it was an hour waiting. We sat as expected at 7:50 and until 8:30 the whole restaurant was extinguished except three tables. Some of the foods were spicy for the children, but even getting a single refill was impossible. The employees were so busy to want to clean up for the night (nounces the closing time as 9PM) that we were treated far more than an inconvenience to their Saturday night plans than actual customers. Simple gestures like the offer of water or beverage refills would have gone far. Heck, mere presence, so that we could even ask for help, would have been appreciated.

Enjoyed our meal and relaxing outdoor seating overlooking the golf course. Service was good.

I was in town to visit my mom and we made an early reservation for 4 on Valentines Day. I was blown away by how great the service was by every one of the wait staff and manager. Abbi our waitress was extremely capable and attentive and such a sweetheart. We really appreciated the great food and service.
